Sue Update
Hi everyone! Kris, my stepmother, is writing this for me. I’m sitting in my hospital room where I can see Fenway Park out my window and I can wave to the Good Year blimp as the Yankees decimate the Red Sox yet again.
I’m doing fine although I do have a huge shiner (see the picture). We’ve taken other pictures that we will post later. I got out of ICU at noon today and will probably be released on Monday or Tuesday to go to my Mom's.
I'm still waiting to get a decent meal. They cut my jaw muscle so eating is a bit challenging. I just looked at the carrots and the hard sandwich that came at lunch today. I’m hoping that I get my macaroni and cheese tonight for dinner.
Dr. Black says he believes he was able to remove all of the tumor and that it doesn’t appear that it was malignant. The pathology report will be available in 1 week. The tumor was a little bigger then Dr. Black thought and that’s why the surgery was longer than anticipated. The good news is that I am able to see out of both eyes, even if it’s two of everything for awhile.
I am in Tower 10C room 59.
Thanks for all the well wishes. I’ll be back in a week or two.

This time a prayer was answered.........and the answer was "yes".
Sue and family,
What wonderful news!! I can tell from the photo that Sue is doing terrifically well. (I have a picture of me that is very similar, shiner and all, from last December.) You're making a fantastic recovery and your whole fan club from the online world is thinking of you and sending our love and prayers.

Great news, glad to hear you will be getting out soon. Hope you get some good hugs with your dogs in too. Thinking about you, lots of setter zen.
Sue,
I think you look terrific for what you have been through. Hope you get some food that you can eat. How does a milk shake sound. Might as well use this down time to enjoy things you normally avoid.

Sue, the Mommas and Poppas send their love and well wishes for a speedy recovery. We all can't wait for you to be back telling us about what you learned. Glad that you are journaling all the steps in the process of an M. You are doing great. Just hope that you can find something you can sip through a straw that you like, that fills you up, (how about Boost)? I am sure you will be eating soon.
